01 Who is responsible
We Create Talents (“we”, “us”) operates wecreatetalents.ca. We are responsible for the personal information we collect and handle, and we follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy go to hello@wecreatetalents.ca.
02 What we collect
We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, and your message. Phone number and company or professional background if you choose to add them. We also record that you gave consent and when.
- Creating an account. Your name, email address and password (stored only in hashed form), plus an optional note about what brought you here and whether you want email updates.
- Coaching assistant. The messages you type into the assistant on our site. We do not save the conversation on our own servers.
- Technical data. Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse and is not stored in our database. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs.
Please don’t put sensitive information — such as health details, government ID numbers or payment details — in the contact form or the assistant. We don’t need it and don’t ask for it.
03 Why we collect it
We use personal information for these purposes, and no others without asking you first:
- to respond to your enquiry and discuss coaching, training or skill-development services;
- to create and secure your account, and to send account messages such as email confirmation and password reset;
- to manage our relationship with you in our customer-relationship (CRM) system;
- to send you updates and resources, if you opted in;
- to answer your questions through the coaching assistant;
- to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.
04 Your consent
We ask for your consent before we collect your information. When you tick the consent box on the contact form, you agree that we may store your details and contact you about your enquiry. Email updates are optional and separate: we send them only if you opt in.
You can withdraw consent at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any update email, or write to hello@wecreatetalents.ca. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services, and we may need to keep certain records where the law requires it. Commercial emails are sent in line with Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL).
06 Where it is processed
Some of our providers operate outside Canada, including in the United States. Your information may therefore be processed or stored in another country, where it is subject to that country’s laws and may be accessible to its courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities.
07 How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see “Your rights”).
08 How we protect it
- Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text, and sign-in sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies.
- Access to the administration area is limited to authorised administrators.
- Repeated failed sign-ins temporarily lock an account.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach of our safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
10 Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your information;
- ask how we handle your information, and challenge our compliance.
To make a request, email hello@wecreatetalents.ca. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within 30 days; if we need more time or cannot fully comply, we will tell you why.
If we have not resolved your concern, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under local law; contact us and we will help.
11 Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
